As regards, 72% of the total installed capacity of paper production in India is accounted for by West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Orissa, Karnataka, and Maharashtra. Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Kerala, Bihar, and Assam together account for about 26% of the total paper production in India. The manufacturing is working at 89 percent capacity utilization.
